When it comes to our healthcare workers, Your World strives to maintain the highest levels of compliance at all times. Compliance is a crucial part of working within the healthcare sector and it’s imperative that we have all the necessary documents required before sending you out to work. It might seem like a lengthy process at first, but with our specialist guidance and experience, you’ll be fit to work in no time!

Dublin-based Recruitment Consultant, Hazel, has put together some great tips on breezing through the compliance process so you can start your working career with us as soon as possible.

Remember to bring your documents to your interview

It may seem simple or self-explanatory, but make sure you arrive at your interview with every document required. Your consultant will give you a list of compliance documents before inviting you to our office so try to bring as many as you can – this will get you off to a great start. When you bring documents to your interview, your consultant and clinical governance officer will be able to spend more time finding your ideal shifts instead of chasing for anything outstanding. (It’s best to get the embarrassing passport photo reveal over and done with!)

Keep your compliance documents organised

Make sure your training certificates, diplomas and any other necessary documents are stored together in a folder so you can find them quickly and easily without tearing your home apart searching for each one! Keeping your documents neatly organised will also give your consultant a great first impression of you. Ask your consultant for one of our Your World branded folders so you can not only show off your agency but help bring in a referral or two and earn a bonus!

Keep your documents backed up on the computer

Your compliance documents are extremely important so always make sure you have them backed up on your computer as well as keeping hard copies. This will make life easier when sending your passport etc. and ensure that your important documents are safe and sound.

Keep your training certificates up to date

Most training certificates have an expiry date of two years. Ensure that all of your certificates are up to date at all times. We can only accept in-date certificates as this proves to us that you are keeping up with your professional development and performing to the standards expected by professional bodies. You will also avoid any halts in the compliance process so you can be placed faster.

If you need to update your training certificates, you can purchase a course via the Your World Shop.

Complete the COE and Garda Vetting sooner rather than later

Completing our application pack may take time and we appreciate that you are busy in between shifts. Of all the documents required, your Garda Vetting clearance check takes the longest amount of time to come back to us. Even if you’re short on time and struggling to complete the application pack, please make sure you complete the Garda Vetting form as soon as possible.

Let your referees know that Your World will be calling for a reference

Obtaining references can be quite a time-consuming process for our Clinical Governance Officers. However, if you inform your referees that we will be calling them on your behalf, we can sort your references much faster and ensure a glowing report for you.
