The team of consultants working with permanent candidates in Your World is growing, and it’s not without reason! Following on from their success within Audiology, the demand for permanent staff from Your World has steadily been increasing.

We have many fantastic roles available for healthcare professionals to work on a permanent basis and want to spread the word far and wide!

Did you know that Your World is on more Preferred Supplier Lists (PSLs) with the NHS than any other recruitment agency? Thanks to this, we have access to exclusive roles that you can’t get your hands on anywhere else.

Our team of dedicated consultants specialise in very specific areas (e.g. physiotherapy private specialist jobs and specialist doctor jobs in senior-level positions), meaning they have a thorough knowledge of your field and the jobs that suit you best. This team is so dedicated, in fact, that you can have access to them 24 hours a day, even in the middle of the night (because hospitals never stop, so neither do we)!

Are you considering a change of pace or wanting to find out more about permanent work? Look no further - we have all the details here for you.

What is the difference between permanent and temporary jobs?

A permanent member of staff works on a permanent contract basis and stays until either they or the employer decide otherwise, whereas a temp works on a more flexible basis. Quite often a temporary member of staff will be brought in to help during busy periods or to cover for long-term absence (illness, maternity/paternity etc.).

As a locum or temporary worker, you get paid by your agency, typically on a weekly basis. However, permanent members of staff get paid monthly directly by the employer.

What are the benefits of a permanent healthcare job?

Some of the more obvious benefits of going for a permanent role are that you have more job security and financial stability. There are also more training and management positions readily available to you, as well as the eligibility for employee benefits.

Opportunities we’ve seen come around at Your World include hospitals looking for Band 5 nurses who they could train up to be Band 6. Something like this is beneficial to both the hospital, as they have a more skilled member who can take on more responsibilities, and the nurse as they are gaining a new qualification that will take them into a higher pay bracket.
