Medical Administrator

Hourly Pay Rate: £10.09 PAYE Holiday Inclusive per hour

Working days and hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week (ideally) between 8am – 6pm, Monday to Sundays (Please note: The ability to work weekends is preferred, however, this is not essential)

Job Summary:

  • General office admin e.g., dealing with telephone calls, scanning, filing
  • Adding shifts to rosters
  • Allocating patient visits
  • Liaising with staff re: changes to allocations
  • Liaising with wards re: discharge planning; form filling


Person Specification – Experience and Skills

  • Experienced Administrator/Receptionist/Coordinator within relevant NHS, Private Healthcare or Hospital experience
  • Competent usage of of MS Office Applications
  • Proactive with a flexible approach
  • Previous experience of using NHS database systems with ability to learn new systems with ease (highly desirable)
  • Experience of working as part of a team and independently
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills (with ability to manage phone lines and deal with professionals and patients)
  • Great level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Appropriate handling of sensitive/confidential information


To commence employment as a Medical Administrator via Your World Healthcare, if successful; you must be fully registered and compliant via Your World Healthcare in the first instance. To become compliant, you will need to:

  • Complete full work registration via Your World Healthcare (prior to commencing employment)
  • Hold a clean valid enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months or a valid DBS currently registered with the update service (if held by a third party). If you do not yet hold a clean valid enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months or a valid certification of a DBS registered with the update service (with photographic evidence of this) - you will be required to apply for a new DBS as part of your application via Your World Healthcare. This can be applied as part of the full work registration process.
  • Provide a minimum of 2x professional employment/educational references covering the last 3 years.
